How it works

A clear journey, with family involved.

From creating your profile to a family-approved conversation — designed for marriage, with families involved throughout.

The journey

From creating a profile to continuing towards marriage

Each step is designed to keep intention high and boundaries in place. Nothing is left to a private inbox.

01

Create your profile

You create a free account and complete a profile focused on marriage — who you are, what you are looking for, and when you hope to move toward nikkah. Photos are uploaded for review. You choose Free or Gold during onboarding, and profiles are reviewed before they appear in Discover.

At this step

  • You must be 18 or over
  • Profiles are reviewed before they appear in Discover
  • You choose Free or Gold during onboarding
  • You need at least two approved photos on a completed profile

02

Add a family member

A family member is required. You invite a parent, guardian, or trusted family member by email. They create their own access and follow introductions. At least one family member must accept their invite before you can send introductions or request a video introduction.

At this step

  • Invite a parent, guardian, or trusted family member
  • They follow introductions with you
  • They must accept their invite before you can send introductions
  • They cannot send introductions or edit your account

03

Browse potential matches

Once your profile is approved, you can browse other reviewed members. You see intention-focused details such as age, location, languages, and marriage timeline. Discover is ranked by compatibility. Photos stay blurred until both people accept an introduction.

At this step

  • Browse reviewed UK profiles only
  • Photos stay private until a mutual yes
  • Save profiles you want to come back to
  • Gold members also see recommended matches

04

Send an introduction

An introduction is an intentional request — not a swipe or a chat. You can send one after your profile is approved and a family member has accepted their invite. Sending costs £5 on Free (up to 3 a month) and is included with Gold. Receiving and accepting is always free.

At this step

  • Free members can send 3 introductions a month at £5 each
  • Gold includes unlimited introductions with no extra fee
  • Your family is informed as introductions happen
  • You can withdraw a pending introduction you sent

05

Accept or decline

The person you introduced yourself to can accept or decline. If they decline, that introduction ends there and you cannot send another one to the same person. If they accept, you both continue to the next steps together. There is still no private messaging.

At this step

  • Accepting or declining is always free
  • A decline ends that introduction
  • You cannot send another introduction to the same person after a decline
  • There is no inbox or private chat at any point

06

Photos unlock after a mutual yes

Until both people accept, photos stay blurred. After a mutual yes, approved photos unlock for both of you. Profile details stay focused on marriage intention throughout.

At this step

  • Photos stay private until both people accept
  • Only approved photos are shown
  • Both people see each other’s photos after a mutual yes
  • The next step is a scheduled video introduction

07

Arrange a family-approved video introduction

After a mutual yes, you propose times within a 7-day window and speak on a scheduled video introduction. Both families must approve before either of you can join. You can join from 10 minutes before the start. The call has a 90-minute limit and is not recorded by MoReNikah.

At this step

  • Propose times within a 7-day window
  • Both families approve before you can join
  • You can join from 10 minutes before the start
  • The call has a 90-minute limit and is not recorded

08

Continue towards marriage

MoReNikah does not move the conversation into a private inbox. After the video introduction, you and your families decide whether to continue towards marriage. There is still no private messaging on the platform.

At this step

  • Families stay involved after you speak
  • There is no private messaging on MoReNikah
  • You decide together whether to continue towards nikkah
  • MoReNikah does not guarantee a match or a marriage

Family

What invited family members do

Family involvement is required — and limited to the parts that keep the process respectful.

Invited from the start

You invite a parent, guardian, or trusted family member when you create your profile. They accept by email and stay involved.

They follow introductions

Family members see the introductions you send and receive, so the process is not happening privately.

They approve the video call

Both families must approve a scheduled video introduction before either of you can join.

They cannot act for you

Family members cannot send introductions, edit your profile, or change your plan. You remain responsible for your account.

Built this way on purpose

What you will not find here

No private messaging

There is no inbox. The first conversation happens on a structured video introduction after a mutual yes.

No one-sided next steps

Photos stay private and a video introduction is not arranged until both people accept.

No family as an afterthought

A family member is required. They follow the journey and approve the call before you speak.
