FAQ
Getting started
MoReNikah is a Sharia-compliant Muslim marriage platform designed around family involvement. You create a profile, discover reviewed members, send an introduction, and speak on a structured video introduction after both sides accept — with families involved throughout.
UK Muslims aged 18 or over who are serious about marriage, typically looking to move toward nikkah within about 6–18 months. It is for people who want family involvement, privacy, and intentional introductions — not a conventional dating app.
MoReNikah is intended for adults in the United Kingdom. Profiles in Discover are reviewed UK members looking for marriage with family involvement.
You must be 18 or over to create an account or join the waitlist. The service is only for adults.
Create a free account, complete your profile, upload photos, and invite a family member. You choose Free or Gold during onboarding. Your profile is reviewed before it appears in Discover, and introductions unlock after that review — once a family member has accepted their invite.
MoReNikah is designed as a Sharia-compliant Muslim marriage platform: family involvement is built in, there is no private messaging, and conversations happen through structured video introductions. We do not claim scholarly certification of every marriage.
Family involvement is required, not optional. There is no private messaging. After a mutual introduction, you speak on a structured video introduction. Photos stay private until both accept.
Marriage. MoReNikah is a Muslim matrimonial platform, not a dating app. There is no swipe feed, no private inbox, and no casual chat. The process is built for people who want to move toward nikkah with their families involved.
No. MoReNikah helps serious people meet through a structured, family-involved process. We do not guarantee introductions, compatibility, or marriage — those decisions stay with you and your families.
FAQ
Family involvement
A family member is required when you create your profile. You invite a parent, guardian, or trusted family member. They follow introductions, and both families must approve a video introduction before you can join. They cannot request introductions or change your account.
Invite a parent, guardian, or another trusted family member — someone who can support the process with care. They receive an email invitation, create their own access, and stay involved from introductions through to the video conversation.
Invited family members follow your introductions and must approve a video introduction before you can join. They stay informed so the process does not move ahead without them.
They cannot send introductions on your behalf, accept introductions for you, edit your profile, change your plan, or delete your account. You remain responsible for your own profile and decisions.
Yes. At least one family member must accept their invitation before you can send introductions or request a video introduction. You can still complete your profile and browse while their invite is pending.
Ask them to open the invite email and accept it. Until they do, you can browse but you cannot send introductions. You can manage or resend invitations from Account settings.
Yes. From Account settings you can cancel a pending invitation or revoke an active family member’s access, then invite someone else if you need to.
Yes. After both people accept an introduction, both families must approve the scheduled video introduction before either of you can join.
FAQ
Introductions
An introduction is an intentional request to connect with another member. It is not a message. If they accept, photos unlock and you can arrange a structured video introduction — with both families still involved.
On Free, sending an introduction costs £5 and you can send up to 3 each calendar month (UK time). Gold includes unlimited introductions with no extra fee. Receiving and accepting is always free.
Free members can send 3 introductions per calendar month. Gold members can send unlimited introductions. There is no limit on how many you can receive.
Yes. Receiving an introduction and accepting or declining it is always free, on both Free and Gold.
Yes. New profiles are reviewed by the team before they appear in Discover. You can browse while you wait, but sending introductions unlocks after approval — and after a family member has accepted their invite.
Yes. You can withdraw a pending introduction you sent. Once it has been accepted, declined, or closed, it cannot be sent again to the same person.
No. If an introduction is declined or closed, you cannot send another one to that person. The process is meant to stay clear and respectful, not repeated.
Photos unlock for both of you. You can then arrange a structured video introduction. Both families still need to approve before you join the call. There is no private messaging at any point.
FAQ
Photos & privacy
Photos stay private until both people accept an introduction. Profiles are reviewed before they appear in Discover, and uploaded photos go through automated moderation before they’re shown.
You need at least 2 approved photos on a completed profile, and you can upload up to 6. Each photo must be under 8MB. Uploaded photos are screened before they are shown.
Before a mutual introduction, others see your intention-focused profile details — such as age, location, languages, and marriage timeline. Photos stay blurred until both people accept.
Uploaded photos are screened automatically, including SafeSearch checks. Only approved photos are shown on your profile. Profiles themselves are also reviewed before they appear in Discover.
Yes. You can replace photos from your profile, as long as a completed profile keeps at least 2 approved photos. New uploads go through moderation again before they are shown.
FAQ
Video introductions
It is a scheduled video conversation after both people accept an introduction. You propose times, both families approve, and you speak on the call. There is no private messaging on MoReNikah.
No. MoReNikah has no chat inbox. The first conversation happens on a scheduled video introduction after a mutual yes and family approval.
Both families must approve the video introduction before either person can join. If a family member declines, the video introduction is cancelled.
You can join from 10 minutes before the scheduled start. The call has a hard 90-minute limit from that start time. Joining early does not extend it.
Yes. Either person can cancel a video introduction that is still open, and a family decline also cancels it. You can then decide whether to arrange another time while the introduction remains accepted.
No. MoReNikah does not record video introductions. The call is a live, scheduled conversation after both families approve.
